Uzbek-Czech turnover reaches US$87m in 2012

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Czech Republic grew by 28.5% year-on-year in 2012 – to US$87 million, the Embassy of Czech Republic in Tashkent said.

According to the Czech statistics, exports of Czech Republic to Uzbekistan grew by 37.2% year-on-year in 2012 and hit US$79 million. At the same time, imports of the Czech Republic from Uzbekistan made up US$8 million, or fell by 20.6% year—on-year in 2012.

Currently, there are 15 enterprises with the Czech capital in Uzbekistan, including four with 100% Czech investments. Some 12 Czech firms accredited their offices in Uzbekistan.
