Uzbekistan Expands Cooperation With ACWA Power, Vision Invest
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has discussed expanded cooperation with ACWA Power and Vision Invest covering key areas of long-term development, ahead of the Tashkent International Investment Forum TIIF-2026.
Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev held a meeting with ACWA Power Chairman Mohammad Abdullah Abunayyan and Vision Invest President Omar Al-Midani.
The talks focused on current and prospective cooperation in renewable energy, transport infrastructure, healthcare, water resource management, waste processing, digital infrastructure, and urban utility solutions.
ACWA Power is one of the largest investors in Uzbekistan’s energy sector. The company is currently implementing a portfolio of 15 projects in the country worth about US$15 billion, contributing to the development of the energy system and expansion of renewable generation capacity.
The sides also reviewed Vision Invest initiatives, including projects related to the construction of the new Tashkent International Airport, healthcare facilities, data centres, water treatment plants, district heating systems, and waste processing enterprises.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue efforts to accelerate the implementation of joint projects and further expand the investment portfolio.
The cooperation was described as long-term and based on trust, practical results, and a shared vision of sustainable development.
