Uzbek-Afghan Business Forum Held in Kabul

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — An Uzbek-Afghan Business Forum took place in Kabul, bringing together more than 400 entrepreneurs and investors from both countries. Participants discussed expanding trade and economic cooperation, developing industrial integration, and implementing new joint projects.

The forum was organized by the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, and the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment.

The event was attended by heads of ministries and agencies from both countries, alongside representatives of industry associations and business communities across various economic sectors.

At the forum opening, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev and Afghan Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi emphasized the platform's importance for advancing bilateral economic ties, diversifying export destinations, and expanding industrial cooperation.

During B2B talks, business owners discussed cooperation prospects in the textile industry, agriculture, construction materials production, logistics, and other sectors. Following the meetings, the parties reached several agreements to implement joint projects.

The forum concluded with the signing of agreements and contracts aimed at further expanding trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.
