Universiada-2016 begins in Ferghana city

Republican sport games “Universiada-2016” among students of higher educational establishments started in Ferghana city, eastern Uzbekistan, on 26 May.
About 900 young people from all regions of Uzbekistan are participating in the finals of the Games. About 165,000 people participated in the preliminary stages.
The athletes will compete in 15 types of sports – basketball, boxing, volleyball, handball, judo, track and weightlifting, table tennis, swimming, taekwondo (WTF), tennis, football, chess, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.
