Transport Ministry hosts meeting with World Bank Representatives

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov met with Shomik Raj Mehndiratta, the World Bank’s Head of Transport Policy for Europe and Central Asia, and Wei Winnie Wang, the Infrastructure Program Manager and Senior Transport Specialist.

During the meeting, they discussed further support for Uzbekistan’s transport sector, opportunities to attract private financing, and the advancement of the Tashkent-Andijan toll road construction project.

The World Bank also expressed its commitment to supporting the implementation of this project.
