Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Localising production in Uzbekistan is creating opportunities for investors to enter the markets of neighbouring countries and the wider region, including Afghanistan and, in the future, Pakistan, said Daler Iskandarov, head of the International Relations Department at Uzkimyosanoat, at the CREON Household Chemicals 2026 conference.
According to him, Russian companies are already present in the Uzbek market. Major investors include Grass and Arnest Yunirus, which have introduced household product lines for the retail and HoReCa segments.
At the same time, a project is being implemented in Tashkent to establish an integrated production chain for household chemicals. At the initial stage, the project envisages producing liquid laundry detergents, household cleaning products, liquid soap, shampoos and lotions, as well as diapers.
The next stage will expand the product range to include oral care products, creams, lipstick and sunscreens.
The production hub is planned for a 30-hectare site in a special industrial zone. The project is expected to produce around 50,000 tonnes of products and 110 million finished items.
The production facility is intended to bring together manufacturing of a broad range of household chemicals and personal care products while creating a base for investors to expand into regional markets.
