Total Chinese investments into Uzbekistan to exceed US$23bn

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Total volume of investments of China to economy of Uzbekistan to exceed US$23 billion, Uzbekistan TV channel’s Ahborot programme reported.

The report said that the state visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China was unique and historic.

In the result of the visit, Uzbekistan and China signed more than 100 documents, which are aimed at further development of strategic partnership between countries, the report said.

The documents were signed in such areas as energy, oil refining, modernization of power plants, in agriculture, petrochemistry, transport communications and others.

The total amount of China’s investments into the economy of Uzbekistan will exceed US$23 billion, the report noted.
