Teachers in Uzbekistan to receive 50% discount on services

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Teachers in Uzbekistan have been granted benefits for obtaining a range of public services. The relevant changes were approved under Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 175 dated April 16, 2026.

According to the document, employees of educational organizations engaged under an employment contract in the field of teaching and upbringing will be able to pay for certain government services at 50% of the established cost.

The benefit applies, in particular, to services in the field of state cadastral registration of real estate objects, connection to engineering and communication networks, assessment of knowledge in general education subjects with the issuance of a certificate, obtaining permission to take an exam for a tractor-driver certificate, as well as apostille certification of official documents and a number of other procedures.

In addition, the resolution stipulates that directors and deputy directors of specialized schools and boarding schools must undergo management training courses once every five years. The training will be organized by the Ministry of Culture on a release-from-work basis.

The document also establishes procedures for the expulsion of students from specialized schools and boarding schools, as well as their transfer to other areas of study or to other educational institutions.

The adopted changes are aimed at expanding social support for teachers and improving the management system in educational institutions.
