Sumou Holding Discusses Residential Project in New Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held at the New Tashkent city construction directorate with representatives of Saudi Arabia’s Sumou Holding Company, focusing on a potential investment project to build a modern residential complex.

The discussions centered on cooperation prospects in housing construction and the broader development of urban infrastructure.

During the talks, it was noted that Sumou Holding Company is a prominent player in Saudi Arabia’s construction and real estate development sector. Founded in 2007, the company specializes in residential and commercial real estate projects, as well as investment management initiatives.

Both sides discussed possible parameters for the company’s participation in the development of the new city, particularly the construction of modern residential complexes designed to meet population needs and international urban planning standards.

The Saudi company also presented details of its ongoing activities. In 2025, Sumou Holding signed a contract worth 533 million US dollars to build 800 residential buildings in several Saudi cities, including Riyadh, Dammam, and Al Khobar. The company is also listed among the Top 100 companies in the Arab region by Forbes Middle East.

It was further noted that Sumou Holding provides integrated real estate services, including project management, analytical support, and investment planning, which is considered an important component in implementing large-scale urban development initiatives.

During the visit, company representatives also reviewed ongoing construction projects in New Tashkent city. Both sides expressed interest in continuing dialogue and further discussing practical steps for potential joint housing development projects.
