Six-Year-Old Boy Killed in Tashkent Road Accident

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A six-year-old boy was killed in a road traffic accident in Tashkent's Mirzo-Ulugbek District. A criminal case has been opened, and the investigation is ongoing.

According to available information, the incident occurred on 1 July. The driver of a Tracker struck the child after he ran onto the roadway from behind a parked Cobalt.

The boy died at the scene from his injuries.

A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which establishes liability for violating traffic safety or vehicle operation rules resulting in a person's death.
