Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 18 March, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov held a telephone conversation.

The two leaders warmly exchanged congratulations on the upcoming Navruz holiday, extending their best wishes for peace, prosperity, and well-being to the fraternal peoples of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

During the discussion, they reviewed the practical implementation of high-level agreements, emphasizing the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, industrial collaboration, logistics, energy, agriculture, and tourism. Both sides underscored the importance of accelerating major regional projects aimed at enhancing transport, transit, and energy infrastructure.

Special attention was given to preparations for the upcoming trilateral high-level meeting, as well as the "Central Asia – EU" summit and the Climate Forum, which are set to take place in Samarkand.
