Senate reorganizes Committee on foreign political issues

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan reorganized the Committee on foreign political issues to the Committee on international relations, foreign economic relations, foreign investments and tourism.

The decision was adopted on 13 December 2016 during the eighth plenary session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.

Senators also expanded structure and authorities of the Committee on international relations, foreign economic relations, foreign investments and tourism.

The committee will conduct systematic parliamentary control over realization of legislation, programmes and plans in the sphere of international relations, foreign economic relations, foreign investments and tourism.

New committee will also ensure implementation of international law norms in the sphere to the national legislation and strengthen international image of Uzbekistan.

Promotion of economic interests of Uzbekistan at international arena will also be part of the tasks of the committee.
