Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – Russian singer and composer Alexander Gradsky died.
It became known yesterday that the musician was hospitalized with suspected stroke. His health deteriorated after the coronavirus suffered in September. The artist almost stopped getting up and complained of pain in his legs. He was 72 years old.
According to the Izvestia newspaper, the artist died today at 02:10 am. Before that, information appeared in the media about Gradsky’s emergency hospitalization in a Moscow hospital with suspected stroke. While still in his own house, the composer complained of poor health.
The musician was born on 3 November 1949 in the city of Kopeisk in Chelyabinsk region. He graduated from music school, violin class in 1967, and received a diploma in 1974.
State Music and Pedagogical Institute named after Gnesins (now the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music) with a degree in opera and concert chamber singer.
In total, during his career, Gradsky wrote music for 40 feature films, as well as dozens of documentaries and cartoons, including such works as "Romance of Lovers", "Prisoner of the If Castle" and "The Art of Living in Odessa". He has released more than 18 LPs, the author of several rock operas and rock ballets, many songs, the most famous of which are “We Can’t Live Without Each Other” and “How Young We Were”.
