Russian Natsproektstroy Proposes AI for Rail Systems
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Russian construction and infrastructure group Natsproektstroy has proposed introducing artificial intelligence-based solutions into Uzbekistan’s railway traffic management system, according to Dmitry Bolotsky, Deputy CEO for Commercial Affairs, speaking at the Innoprom. Central Asia 2026 forum.
He stated that the company has already established cooperation with Uzbek partners in producing railway automation systems localized at the Chirchik technopark in Tashkent region. The next stage of collaboration, he noted, could involve the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies.
Among the proposed developments is an “intelligent railway crossing” system capable of detecting obstacles on tracks using neural network-based recognition technologies. According to the company, such a system could enhance the safety of both road and rail traffic at relatively low implementation costs.
Natsproektstroy also highlighted its use of advanced digital tools in infrastructure projects, including BIM modeling, robotic equipment, and digital construction monitoring systems. These technologies, the company claims, improve accuracy and reduce costs across the entire lifecycle of infrastructure projects.
Natsproektstroy is a major Russian infrastructure holding company engaged in full-cycle “turnkey” construction projects.
