Uzbekistan and Korea Discuss Pharmaceutical and Cosmetics Production
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and South Korea discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical sectors, including the launch of joint production projects in Uzbekistan, the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry said.
A delegation led by Abdulla Azizov, director of the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry, took part in the Uzbekistan-Korea Business Forum, where representatives of the South Korean government, major companies and business circles discussed further development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
During the forum, separate talks were held with the management of MIBA, a company operating in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors. The Uzbek side presented opportunities for developing the pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical industries, available investment incentives and the potential of the BioPharma City cluster.
The sides discussed the possibility of launching joint production facilities in Uzbekistan, attracting investment and introducing modern technologies.
They also considered new investment initiatives and areas for further cooperation.
Following the talks, MIBA management was invited to visit Uzbekistan to discuss specific areas of joint work.
