Presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan hold talks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held face-to-face negotiations in Ashgabat.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated that the visit is important step for further consolidation and development of the Uzbek-Turkmen relations.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his turn expressed the confidence that current meeting would give new impulse to bilateral partnership, which has considerable potential.

Two leaders discussed current state and perspectives of the Uzbek-Turkmen cooperation. The sides noted necessity to boost trade-economic and humanitarian-cultural contacts.

During the meeting, the sides shared the visions on number of topical issues of regional and international politics presenting mutual interest.
