President signs resolution on reforming medical education

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On measures on further reforming system of medical education in Uzbekistan”.

According to the press service of Uzbekistan, the document is directed at improving quality of medical education and forming system of higher and secondary special, professional medical education based on the best international practices, as well as improving level of medical aid.

Uzbek President determined the Ministry of Healthcare as an authorized body in the field of medical education.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev entrusted the Ministry to improve legal base of training medical specialists and system of post-university education, training and retraining healthcare system.

Uzbek Health Ministry will develop and implement state education standards for medical education and improve quality of education at medical educational institutions.

The resolution also includes other measures directed at improving training of medical specialists.
