President approves measures to support low-income strata of population
Uzbek leader approved territorial targeted programs of social support to low-income population for 2017-2018.
The programs envisage issuing of microcredits to low-income families at a reduced interest rate at the expense of the Special Fund for concessional lending to commercial banks to organize their business.
President also approved the provision of gratuitous assistance to families living in difficult housing conditions, who lost their bread-winner, caring for disabled people. In particular, they can purchase affordable housing in 2017 and 2018 or household appliances. Also, the habitation of the low-income families will be repaired.
The programs will be financed due to resources of the state budget, the Federation Council of Trade Unions and the charitable public fund of Uzbekistan “Mahalla”.
