Uzbek Migration Agency Delegation Visits Minsk Auto Plant

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Deputy Director of Uzbekistan's Migration Agency Elyor Toshtemirov, during a working visit to Belarus, visited the Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) together with representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan to discuss the employment of Uzbek citizens.

During the meeting, the parties discussed recruitment procedures for Uzbek nationals, interviews with job candidates, on-the-job training and measures to help employees adapt to their new working environment.

The Uzbek delegation also reviewed working and living conditions at the plant, visiting production facilities, the canteen, dormitory and other social infrastructure.

More than 120 Uzbek citizens are currently employed at the Minsk Automobile Plant. According to the parties, their average monthly salary ranges from US$800 to US$1,000.

The delegation also met with Uzbek employees at the enterprise. During the meeting, they were briefed on compliance with labour legislation and the legal requirements governing labour migration.
