President appoints new governor of Syrdarya region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev appointed new governor of Syrdarya region on 15 December 2016.

According to the decree of the President of Uzbekistan, Gofurjon Mirzayev was appointed as new governor of Syrdarya region.

At this post, he replaced Oybek Ashurmatov, who was released from his post in line with the decree of the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
