PitON launches electrical equipment production in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Sverdlovsk-based PitON Group has launched production of electrical equipment in Uzbekistan, according to official regional and company statements. The new facility is located in the Chirchik chemical-industrial technopark in the Tashkent region.
The company’s entry into the Uzbek market began in 2021 through participation in a business mission supported by Russia’s national project “International Cooperation and Export.” Since then, PitON has implemented several initiatives in the country, including the establishment of its own engineering center and the execution of industrial contracts.
The new facility will produce equipment for energy infrastructure, including busbar systems, uninterruptible power supplies, frequency converters, and current conductors. At the start of operations, the plant has already secured initial orders, including a contract to supply products to a major non-alcoholic beverage producer.
The initial investment in the project amounted to 300,000 US dollars.
According to Oleg Gusev, CEO of Energo-RS, the launch of production in Uzbekistan marks a new stage in the company’s development and localization strategy in the country.
The opening ceremony took place as part of a business mission by a delegation from the Sverdlovsk region to Uzbekistan. The delegation included representatives of 14 industrial companies focused on cooperation in the energy and oil and gas sectors.
Vladimir Yarin, Minister of International and Foreign Economic Relations of the Sverdlovsk region, noted that products from regional enterprises are already being used at key energy facilities in Uzbekistan, and that interest in their technologies from international partners continues to grow.
