Omsk Region Trade with Uzbekistan Jumps 50 Percent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Trade turnover between Russia’s Omsk Region and Uzbekistan increased by nearly 50% in 2025, while exports from the Siberian region more than doubled, Governor Vitaliy Khotsenko said in his Telegram channel.

According to the regional head, the development of economic ties aligns with priorities set by Russia’s leadership.

He noted that Uzbekistan remains one of the key partners of the Omsk Region, with cooperation steadily expanding through joint initiatives and strengthened business contacts.

Khotsenko also reported that a delegation from the Omsk Region is participating in the international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia” taking place in Tashkent. The Russian delegation is led by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.

The governor expressed confidence that further expansion of cooperation with Uzbekistan’s regions will strengthen economic ties between the two countries and deliver practical benefits for businesses.

The sixth international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia” is being held in Tashkent from 20 to 22 April.

The event covers an exhibition area of 18,000 square meters and brings together around 10,000 participants from more than 20 countries, including CIS states, China, Germany, Türkiye, and the UAE. Russia is represented by 16 regions, while Uzbekistan has around 400 participating companies.
