OHCHR supports reforms in Uzbekistan – Ra’ad Zeid al-Hussein

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- A delegation of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) arrived in Uzbekistan to support reforms, planned by the Government, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid bin Ra’ad Zeid al-Hussein said in Tashkent.

“We understand that these reforms are long-term and require time. The most important is that the process started and reforms began in the country”, he said.

“We want to act as partners of the government within these reforms, at the same time we want to be your partners, because together we can solve all these problems,” he added.
