New Uzbek-Russian venture opens in Samarkand

Yatro-invest, an Uzbek-Russian joint venture, opened in Samarkand, UzA reported. The report said it is specializing on production of roofing slates.

The report said the creation of the venture was started in 2006 and new equipment was installed. The company produces 2,000-2,200 roofing slates a day.

It added that the products realized in internal market of Samarkand and neighboring Uzbek regions.
