Uzbekistan Airports and Air China Discuss Expanding Flights
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives of Uzbekistan Airports and Air China have discussed prospects for expanding cooperation and developing air connectivity between Uzbekistan and China. The negotiations took place at the central office of Uzbekistan Airports with the participation of an Air China delegation led by external directors Xu Niansha, Tam Wan Chi, and Gao Chunlei.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed the possibility of increasing the frequency of regular flights on the Beijing–Tashkent–Beijing route from three to seven times a week.
The negotiators paid special attention to the development of Air China's route network in Uzbekistan. Representatives of Uzbekistan Airports presented the infrastructure capabilities of the country's international airports, including regional air harbors that possess the potential to handle international flights.
The airports of the Ferghana Valley structural region drew particular interest from the representatives of the Chinese airline. Air China announced its intention to study the prospects of opening air connections with this region, noting its potential for developing tourism, business, and humanitarian ties.
Uzbekistan Airports confirmed its readiness to further develop its partnership with Air China, aimed at expanding the route network, increasing passenger traffic, and strengthening transport connectivity between Uzbekistan and China.
