New JV on car components production launched in Uzbekistan

An Uzbek-South Korean joint venture Uz Auto-Austem on production of automobile components has been launched in Andijan city.
UzA reported that Uz Auto-Austem was formed within the localization programme. The venture will produce wheel disks and chassis junctions for locally-made cars Spark, Lacetti and Cobalt.
The founders of the joint venture are Uzavtosanoat join stock company and South Korea’s Austem Сo. Ltd.
The project cost is US$31.1 million. The enterprise can produce over 1 million wheel disks and 125,000 chassis a year.
