New 110 kV substation built in Tashkent’s Yangihayot district
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A new 110/35/10 kV electrical substation with a capacity of 2×80 MVA has been built in Tashkent’s Yangihayot district, with part of its capacity to be used to improve electricity supplies to nearby residential areas and settlements, the Tashkent city administration said.
The new substation will also provide enterprises in the Yangi Avlod special industrial zone with dedicated energy infrastructure. This will allow industrial facilities to receive electricity through a separate infrastructure network without creating additional pressure on the general power grid used by residents of the district.
The city administration said the new facility will contribute to more stable electricity supplies for residents, reduce the load on existing networks and improve their reliability.
The substation was built in accordance with Resolution No. 598 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 22 September 2025.
