Namangan region’s economy grows by 10.3% in 2014

The gross regional product (GRP) of Namangan region rose by 10.3% in 2014, the session of the local council said.
The industrial production of the region grew by 12.5%, agriculture output – 8.5%, capital investments – 34.3% and construction works – 11%.
About 1.6 trillion soums of investments were used due to all sources, which rose by 4.3% year-on-year. The construction-assembly works worth 928.3 billion soums were conducted in the region.
Within regional investment programme, the region attracted US$16.5 million of direct investments on 18 projects. The region exported goods for US$112 million.
