Namangan Region Sells 59 State Assets for 467.2bn soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Namangan Region has sold 59 state assets for a total of 467.2bn soums since the beginning of 2026, while 797 land plots covering 140.7 hectares have been sold through online auctions, Uzbekistan’s State Assets Management Agency reported.

The figures were presented on 21 October at a roadshow for entrepreneurs and investors organised by the agency in Davlatabad district.

The event was attended by Namangan Region Governor Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov, representatives of state and regional organisations and civil society institutions, as well as more than 300 entrepreneurs and investors.

According to Bekzod Matmusayev, head of the agency’s regional territorial department, 68 state assets with a combined estimated value of 548.5bn soums were put up for auction during the year. Of these, 59 were sold for 467.2bn soums.

Another 55 assets with a total value of 362.2bn soums are currently available at auction.

In 2026, the region also privatised 79 land plots covering 19.6 hectares that had been held under permanent use, lease or lifetime ownership by citizens and entrepreneurs. The total value of these transactions amounted to 1.3bn soums.

After acquiring the plots, owners gained the right to use them as collateral or sell them in parts, subject to the procedures established by law.

Since the beginning of the year, 797 land plots covering 140.7 hectares have been sold through electronic auctions. Auctions are continuing for plots covering a further 240.6 hectares.

Privatisation incentives and payment terms

The roadshow also outlined privatisation conditions under Uzbekistan’s 2026 programme, approved by Presidential Decree No. UP-177 of 28 August 2026.

Buyers of state assets and non-agricultural land may make an initial payment of 15% of the purchase price and pay the remaining amount in interest-free instalments under the terms and deadlines established by law.

A 25% discount on the contractual price is available for certain state-owned properties valued at more than 23,000 basic calculation units and non-agricultural land plots valued at more than 8,000 basic calculation units.

To qualify for the discount, buyers must pay the full purchase price within six months and meet the conditions prescribed by law.

The organisers said the roadshow has been held for six consecutive years to inform entrepreneurs and investors about opportunities to acquire state assets and land plots offered for privatisation.
