Mirziyoyev to visit Russia on 4–5 June for SPIEF and bilateral talks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The press service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has confirmed that Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to the Russian Federation on 4–5 June and participate in events in St. Petersburg.

The head of state is scheduled to deliver a speech at the plenary session of the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, held under the theme “Pragmatic Dialogue – the Path to a Stable Future”. In his address, the President of Uzbekistan will present his assessment of the current global economic situation, as well as the prospects for Uzbekistan–Russia economic cooperation and the country’s development priorities.

During the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev is also expected to hold a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In addition, the Uzbek leader will take part in the launch ceremony for the construction of the country’s first integrated nuclear power plant.
