Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa led a delegation on a visit to Uzbekistan’s Centre of Islamic Civilisation.
During the visit, the delegation was introduced to the country’s historical and cultural heritage, Uzbekistan’s contributions to the development of Islamic civilisation, and the role of prominent scholars from the region in global scientific and spiritual progress.
The AFC president praised Uzbekistan’s efforts to preserve its historical heritage, promote it internationally and pass it on to future generations.
The visit provided an opportunity to introduce the delegation not only to Uzbekistan’s achievements in sports but also to its rich cultural heritage and contributions to the development of world civilisation.
