Mirziyoyev and Putin Discuss Allied Relations Development

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, during which the sides discussed further development of Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and allied cooperation.

At the beginning of the conversation, Vladimir Putin congratulated the Uzbek leader on his birthday, wishing him good health, happiness, well-being and further success in his state activities, as well as peace and prosperity to the people of Uzbekistan.

The talks focused on the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level. The sides discussed further strengthening bilateral cooperation in political, economic and interregional areas.

Particular attention was paid to maintaining positive dynamics in mutual trade turnover, advancing cooperation projects involving leading enterprises and companies in priority sectors, and expanding interaction between regions of the two countries.

The leaders also noted with satisfaction the ongoing active cultural and humanitarian exchanges and discussed the schedule of upcoming bilateral events.
