Lokomotiv, Bunyodkor kick off ACL with draws

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Tashkent clubs Lokomotiv and Bunyodkor played their first matches in the group stage of the AFC Champions League on 23 February.

Lokomotiv received Al Ittihad of Saudi Arabia in the Group A match. The match ended with a 1-1 draw. Saudi side opened score on 34 minutes. Rivas netted the goal.

Sardor Mirzaev scored an equalizer for the Uzbek side on 89 minutes to earn a point for his team.

Other Uzbek club Bunyodkor played an away match against Al Nassr from Saudi Arabia. The teams shared spoils after playing a 3-3 draw.

Dostonbek Hamdamov recorded a brace, while Chaker Zouaghi netted another goal for Bunyodkor in the match.
