Uzbekistan National Team Invites Young Fan After Colombia Defeat

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) has launched an initiative to support a young compatriot whose emotional reaction to the national team's defeat attracted widespread public attention.

Following the defeat of the Uzbekistan national team in a match against Colombia at the 2026 World Cup, a video clip spread on social networks showing a young Uzbek fan unable to hold back his tears due to the loss of his favorite team.

The sincere emotions of the child touched the sports leadership and players of the national team, who decided to personally support the boy. The upset fan was officially invited to a closed training session of the country's main team.

At the national team's base, the young guest was met by the head coach, the legendary Italian specialist Fabio Cannavaro, who currently leads the coaching staff of Uzbekistan.
