Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) is visiting Tashkent to review preparations for the 4th Asian Youth Games, scheduled to be held in Uzbekistan’s capital in 2029.

Representatives of the OCA met with Oybek Kasimov, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, at the committee’s headquarters. During the meeting, he outlined the main areas of preparation for the upcoming sporting event and plans for its organisation.

The participants discussed the staging of competitions and the readiness of the sports infrastructure to be used during the Games. Particular attention was paid to accommodation and other arrangements for athletes and official delegations, as well as organisational matters in line with OCA requirements.

As part of the visit, OCA representatives will tour the Olympic Village and other sports facilities in Tashkent that are planned to host events during the Asian Youth Games.

The delegation’s working visit provides an opportunity to assess the progress of preparations in Tashkent and discuss organisational issues with the Uzbek side.
