Leningrad Region Developers Plan New Tashkent District

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Companies SUMMIT United and Assalom Estate are exploring the possibility of implementing a new residential district in Uzbekistan, based on architectural and urban planning approaches developed in the Leningrad Region and St. Petersburg. The initiative was announced by Leningrad Region Governor Alexander Drozdenko during his visit to Tashkent.

According to Drozdenko, the project envisions an integrated development model that goes beyond residential construction and includes public spaces, service infrastructure, and a comprehensive urban environment.

He noted that participation in such a project allows the Leningrad Region to expand its cooperation beyond the supply of construction materials and technologies, offering accumulated expertise in design, development, and urban improvement.

The governor emphasized that the region is ready to share its competencies in modern residential environment planning, including block-based development models where housing, services, and public spaces are designed as a unified system from the outset.

He added that interest in such approaches reflects the growing demand for the Leningrad school of construction and urban planning beyond Russia.
