Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Manchester City moved to the top of the English Premier League after a narrow 1–0 away victory over Burnley.

The only goal of the match came early in the game from Erling Haaland, marking his 35th goal of the season. The quick breakthrough allowed the visitors to control much of the match, although they were unable to convert further chances into goals.

A notable performance came from Uzbekistan national team defender Abdukodir Khusanov, who delivered a solid and disciplined defensive display. In the first half, he made a crucial block to deny a dangerous attempt from the hosts, preventing an equaliser.

Throughout the match, Manchester City maintained possession and territorial advantage, but lacked precision in the final third. After the break, Pep Guardiola’s side continued to manage the game and held on to their narrow lead until the final whistle.

The victory allowed Manchester City to overtake Arsenal at the top of the table. Both teams are level on points and goal difference, but City now lead due to a higher number of goals scored.

For Burnley, the defeat confirmed relegation from the top flight.

Manchester City’s next fixture will be an FA Cup semi-final against Southampton at Wembley Stadium.
