Kamilov Holds Talks with Croatian Leadership
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Abdulaziz Kamilov, Adviser to the President of Uzbekistan on Foreign Policy, paid a working visit to the Republic of Croatia from 17 to 21 May, according to UzA.
During the visit, meetings were held with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Oleg Butković, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić-Radman, and Minister of Tourism and Sport Tonči Glavina.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of Uzbek-Croatian relations, including strengthening political dialogue, expanding practical cooperation, and intensifying exchanges of visits at various levels.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation in trade, economic, and investment spheres, promotion of joint projects, and expansion of interagency contacts.
The sides highlighted significant cooperation potential in transport and logistics, energy, industrial cooperation, digitalization, information and communication technologies, tourism, and infrastructure development.
As part of the visit, meetings were also held with representatives of Croatian companies and business circles to discuss prospects for expanding trade and investment cooperation, implementing joint projects, and attracting modern technologies.
Following the talks, an agreement was reached on the participation of Croatian companies in the Tashkent International Investment Forum, scheduled to take place on 16–18 June 2026.
At the conclusion of the visit, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening bilateral partnership and expanding practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Croatia.
