Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The visit of the EU High Representative and Vice President, Kaja Kallas, to Central Asia has been postponed, according to the European Union delegation in Uzbekistan.

The diplomatic mission stated that the visit was rescheduled to the earliest possible date due to Kallas’ illness.

Meanwhile, the new EU Special Representative for Central Asia, Eduards Stiprais, is currently in Ashgabat for high-level negotiations.

On March 4, Ashgabat will host the 20th EU–Central Asia ministerial meeting. A key agenda item will be preparations for the upcoming EU–CA summit, during which the signing of an Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPCA) with Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan is expected. Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have already concluded this agreement.
