Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Tashkent schools are introducing the SI Davomat digital attendance control system, which automatically records pupils' presence using smart cameras and Face ID technology, the Tashkent city administration's press service said.
Issues of attendance control and the timely identification of missed classes were discussed at a meeting at the capital's administration Situation Centre. Participants were presented with the mechanism of the new system and the results of its testing in the Sergeli district.
SI Davomat is currently being tested in 26 schools in the district, where 446 smart cameras have been installed. When classes are missed without a valid reason, an SMS notification is automatically sent to parents. The information also goes to the school director, the prevention inspector, a National Guard officer and mahalla representatives.
The system is integrated with the ERP Maktab platform and the Healthcare Ministry's DMED. Thanks to this, the data makes it possible to distinguish pupils absent due to illness from those who missed classes without a valid reason.
Based on attendance information, schools will be classified into "green", "yellow" and "red" categories depending on the relevant indicators.
Following the experiment in the Sergeli district, SI Davomat is planned to be introduced in stages in other general education schools in Tashkent.
