Jahongir Artikkhojaev approved as khokim of Tashkent city

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – A session of people’s council of people’s deputies of Tashkent was held. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov attended the event.

The session considered approved of the khokim of Tashkent city. Uzbek President proposed the candidacy of Jahongir Artikkhojaev to the post.

According to article 2 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On local government in the localities”, the Tashkent City Kengash of People’s Deputies unanimously adopted a decision “On approving the candidate, represented by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, for the post of khokim of the city of Tashkent”.

The council also considered other organizational issues.
