Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The volume of production of agricultural, forestry and fish products in the Republic for the 1st quarter of 2021 is 29.9 trillion soums, an increase of 103.1% compared to the corresponding period last year.
The share of peasant farms in the production of agricultural products is 88.9 percent (an increase of +3.1%), farms 7.1 percent (+3.6%) and organizations engaged in agricultural activities is 4.0% (+3.3%).
At the same time, the share of agricultural products in the gross structure of agriculture was 5.9%, livestock products-88.0%, hunting, forestry and fishing-6.1%.
During the reporting period, 65.7 thousand tons of vegetables were produced from agricultural products (growth rate of 1.7%). Also, 493.2 thousand tons of meat (+3.5%), 1823.3 thousand tons of milk (+2.6%), 1374.4 million eggs (+0.2%) and 404.6 thousand pieces of karakul skins (+1.0%) were produced from livestock products.
The share of Samarkand and Tashkent regions in the volume of agricultural, forestry and fish production is high and amounts to 13.0%, while the share of Bukhara, Ferghana, Khorezm, Andijan, and Kashkadarya regions is 8.0-8.9%. Also, the share of Namangan (6.4%), Navoi (5.3%), Syrdarya (3.1%) regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (3.2%) has a smaller share compared to other regions.
