Illegal Pharmaceutical Workshop Discovered in Andijan, Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An illegal production facility manufacturing medicines and dietary supplements has been uncovered in Andijan, Uzbekistan, the State Security Service (SSS) press service reported.
According to the agency, operational measures revealed that four companies without the required licenses and certificates were involved in producing various medical products and biologically active supplements in violation of technological requirements and sanitary standards.
As material evidence, approximately 100 types of products were seized from illegal circulation, including Simbaby, Doclungc, Leron, Yodigan, and Polivit.
Preliminary investigation estimates the value of the illegally produced pharmaceutical products at around 5 billion soums.
Investigative checks are currently underway to establish all circumstances of the production and possible distribution channels of the goods.
The State Security Service stated that the violations involved both the absence of mandatory authorization documents and non-compliance with safety standards, posing potential risks to consumers. The investigation is ongoing.
