GRP of Tashkent grows by 9% in 2014

Gross regional product of Tashkent city rose by 9% in 2014, the session of the local council dedicated to results of 2014 said.
The volume of industrial production in 2014 grew by 15.8%, consumer goods production – 15.5%, investments into fixed capital – 8%, construction works – 9.2%, retail trade turnover – 13.6% and services – 14.8%.
Tashkent city administration said that share of small and private business in the GRP in 2014 made up 5.59%.
About 51 social objects were launched in Tashkent in 2014 in line with the investment programme.
Tashkent city created 91,200 new jobs in 2014. The city plans to create 92,000 new jobs in 2015.
