GRP of Karakalpakstan grows 4% in Jan-Sep

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Karakalpakstan’s gross regional product grew by 4% in the reporting period. Consumer goods production grew by 7.2%, construction works by 26.8%, and service sector by 13.5%.

The volume of direct investments in the region’s economy increased twice compared to the same period of 2008, UzA reported.

A total of 37 enterprises were launched in the sectors of light industry, food industry and construction materials production sector.
