Gas prices hike in Uzbekistan from 1 April

Uzbekistan is increasing tariffs for natural gas, supplied to population, from 1 April 2018, Uztransgaz said in a statement.
New prices were approved by the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan on 16 March 2018, the statement reads.
From 1 April, the cost of 1 cubic meter of gas will grow by 10% - from 263.4 soums to 289.74 soums.
If there is no gas meter, one cubic meter, used for cooking and hot water supply, will cost 501.06 soums (now – 455.59 soums, growth – 9.9%) and for heating – 232.37 soums (now 211.24 soums, +10%).
Last time, gas prices in Uzbekistan was increased in July 2017.
