Furkat Sidikov becomes Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the USA

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Furkat Sidikov has been appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United States. On 3 March, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis approved the candidacy of Furkat Sidikov for this post.

Prior to this appointment, Furkat Sidikov worked as the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

Furkat Sidikov will replace Javlon Vakhabov as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United States. Javlon Vakhabov has been heading the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan to the United States since 2017.

It is expected that Javlon Vakhabov may be appointed as the first deputy minister of foreign affairs of Uzbekistan.
