Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held narrow-format talks with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, in Ashgabat.

According to the head of the Uzbek foreign ministry, the sides thoroughly discussed the further deepening of the Uzbek-Turkmen strategic partnership, the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level, and the steady development of bilateral political dialogue.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to expanding cooperation in trade, economy, transport and logistics, energy, cultural and humanitarian exchange, and cross-border relations. Additionally, the ministers aligned their positions on key issues of regional and international significance.

Following the negotiations, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to close cooperation aimed at strengthening good-neighborly relations, ensuring stability, and promoting sustainable development in Central Asia.
