Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan Discuss Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the further development of strategic partnership and alliance relations between the two countries. An exchange of views also took place regarding the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events at various levels.

The heads of the foreign ministries paid special attention to deepening cooperation in trade, economic, investment, transport logistics, and energy sectors, as well as in other areas of mutual interest.

During the conversation, other issues on the bilateral and multilateral agendas concerning the further development of interaction between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan were also reviewed.
