First Chevrolet Onix assembled in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The assembly of a pre-serial batch of Chevrolet Onix cars has started at the plant of UzAuto Motors in the city of Asaka. This was reported by the press service of the company.

Thus, the practical stage of preparation for launching the production of this car has begun, and as part of the PPV (Pre-Production Vehicle) work, the first Uzbek Onix has already been assembled in Asaka.

Full-scale production of the Chevrolet Onix will begin in early 2023.

Onix will be assembled on the GM GEM (General Motors Global Emerging Markets) platform, which also produces the Chevrolet Tracker, which began commercial production on 18 July.
